Installation Weirdness

I just installed the theme and imported the demo data, looks great. However, in the Admin section there are a lot of areas that can only be described with a screenshot. On the Customizer there is an overlay to “Customize View” but it will not go away and is not click-able. Also, there is no way to edit each section of the page from any tools anywhere in the WP Admin area. I do believe the installation may be missing a few plugins, but I did install according to the docs. The site is up and looks great, its ready to edit but thats the problem, there are no editing tools.

I spoke to soon. It was working fine and I just received “This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin backend.” It was working though so this makes no sense.

Okay a clean install is what the doctor ordered so far, so good. However, now I am getting an error “WARNING] Failed to import “”: Invalid post type mc4wp-form” Is Mailchimp supposed to be installed? It was not in the required Plugins installation list.

Still no way to edit the site sections. Docs mention WPBakery, but its not installed. Can someone review that this theme is actually installing what it needs and what we need to edit the sections of the site?

Geez guys I uploaded and activated the child theme from the zip file and I got..

On WP Reinstall #3 now. Things are back to normal, not installing the pre-packaged child-theme this time, it destroys the site. So we’re back to operational. I still think the install needs a sanity check from the developers, Im not convinced its not missing plugins for editing content.

For disable Shop just diactivate the Woocommerce plugin.

Im not sure if you had made changes, if so I am very sorry. After replacing the index.php there were no errors to be found in the apache logs, so I had to do a restore on the site to continue working on it. It may be better for both (you) Support and my developer if you can possibly send any changes you make to us? This way if we have to restore, we can make your changes again. Going into production with this theme, has us nervous about the support and methods..

After disabling the plugin as well as the compare and wishlist plugin, the Store section is still active with a single block “Extra Sale”. Also there is Price section on the front page that contains shop items. Also the footer contains Store and its links. I’d prefer not to use css to hide all these. How do I hide these multiple items?

Support, after the last restore, Elementor now works on the Home page. This is with the older index.php. Im not sure what happened as all we did was restore from backup to a version saved 11/15/2023. We still can’t find where to get rid of the Deer Head in the lower right corner for “More Themes” hahaha.. we haven’t really looked around the forum yet though lol.

Thank you very much for that. I will try the child theme when I get the nerve. I have a lot of changes and an hourly backup running during this phase. I do see that Portfolio Pages will not edit in Elementor and changes made in Edit Portfolio link are not displayed. Is there a special method to edit portfolio pages?

Found another issue. I plan on using all four Home pages to give the visitor the option to chose, they all look great to me. We can’t get Home 4 to save any changes.

No specific actions at all, nothing in the logs either.

I just tried, it loads I can make the changes but can not save it. The “save” button just spins and spins..

The Booking form is still not working either, this will be important for users. I have debugging on but no errors are present. If you hold your mouse over the calendar it does not create a selection. I feel like this is just a setting somewhere. Can you check this? Please and thank you.

Figured Booking out. Its fine. Home 4 still a problem though.

Another weird thing is, pick a Home page, there are only 4. However, in the Menu > Pick A Home > if you pick for example Home 1 it will show Home-11 or Home-22 or some other higher number Home – XX in the browser url. I have been unsuccessful in figuring this out. Cache is not active for the site.

What browser do you use? In chrome, Home-4 is edited and saved.
