Is there any way of controlling how the category menu looks as we have lots of sub cats, not sure if its possible to create this as a section so its done by VC or able to use uber menu etc to put in this place.

What type of menu do you need? Can you show an example?

We want to do like how to store category shows on your demo, if it can be so we can use VC and then attach menu widgets that would be perfect for full control if you go to link the i copied in the private section you will see your menu (all products) does not work well with large categories.
