Cannot Edit page once shop is enabled

Hello

Im trying to customise the allocated shop page on the site we are building and when the page is selected as the shop page in woo commerce, it wont load in elementor and I cannot add elements around the products. can you please advise if there is anything i nede to do to enable adjustments tot he page once the shop is enabled
